Pat began teaching Outdoor School at age 15 in Beaverton, Oregon, and loved it. He continued to teach ODS for the next seven years, interspersed with learning to be a jet mechanic, medic, and teacher. Pat traveled across the nation and world courtesy of US Naval Aviation, which led other careers as a senior scientist at the Naval Research Laboratory and senior engineer at Boeing. Pat holds two masters degrees and graduated from the WAS Anake program in 2017. Married for 42 years, Cheryl and he have two children (both teachers!) and two grandchildren. Hes happy to be home in the PNW, and teaches occasionally at local universities and organizations. WAS offers a chance to learn a new style of teaching- and listening. Its a unique opportunity to return home to the natural world, and share that with others while helping build a sense of community within the world.
