Course Registration
How to registerOn-line registration: We offer the convenience of secure on-line registration for most of our courses. Follow the links from a specific course description page or from our Youth Calendar or Adult Calendar to register on-line.Summer Day Camps and Overnights invite online registration only. However, if you need help or are a recipient of a scholarship or coupon, please call the office, and we will register you online: 425-788-1301. There is an $8.00 processing fee per online registration. This covers the necessary programming, processing and support which enable us to offer on-line registration. By Phone: You can also register by phone with a credit card or check for most Wilderness Awareness School courses. Please call our office Monday - Friday: 425-788-1301. Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are accepted. Year Long and Intensive Programs: Our Youth School Year Programs, Youth Intensive Programs, and Adult Intensive Programs require specific application processes in order to enroll. See those course pages for more information. Gift Certificates: Wilderness Awareness School Gift Certificates are good towards any of our courses or products. They can be purchased for any amount (in $50 increments), and are good for two years from the date of purchase. To purchase a gift certificate for a family member or friend, please call our office: 425-788-1301. Verification of Space in a CourseOur Adult Calendar and Youth Calendar are updated frequently to notify you when a course is full. This is a good place to start to verify whether there is space in a particular course. However, course registration status sometimes changes hourly during busy times (such as in the spring), so call our office if there is any doubt about course space: 425-788-1301.Applying for ScholarshipsIf you plan to apply for a scholarship, see our scholarships page.Payment and Refund PoliciesWilderness Awareness SchoolPayment, Cancellation and Refund Policies for Non-Intensive Courses* (*not valid for Residential Program, Wildlife Tracking Intensive, Instructor Training Apprenticeship, Youth School, Community School or Roots and Wings) Wilderness Awareness School welcomes students who are motivated to learn wilderness and outdoor education skills, are healthy and are socially responsible. We will deny admission to anyone we believe to be unable to meet the safety demands of our courses. We will expel any student who exhibits behavior that is unsafe or disrupts from the educational mission of a course. If a student is expelled, there will be no refund. Wilderness Awareness School cancellation/credit and transfer policies are based on our investment in staff, course planning, as well as food and equipment purchases before your course. We cannot recover our expenses if you cancel. Short-notice cancellations often prevent others from attending. Payment policy Cancellation Policies Transfer Policy: 1. 15 or more days prior to the course starting date – no additional
charges. Tuition (minus deposit) is fully transferable. Although we rarely need to do so, we reserve the right to cancel a course or change a course duration, tuition or location. Wilderness Awareness School is not responsible for costs associated in these cases. We recommend that you consider refundable airplane tickets for travel. Scholarship Applicants: Confirmation Packet:You will receive by email or mail a confirmation packet with letter, map, medical release form, and pertinent information prior to the start of your course.Courses are subject to change or cancellation without prior notice. Required Forms:We require that you complete, sign, and mail in Medical and Release form prior to participation in all courses. Because of the ever-changing nature of medical and other requested information, we require that a new form be completed for each course you or your child attends.
