  • Two-hour inspirational presentations on various topics (often FREE)

Weekend "NatureSkills" Overnight Courses with Airport Shuttle

Unless otherwise noted on the course description page, all weekend courses begin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday and run until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday in Duvall, WA, include food and camping accommodations, cost $255/course, and have an optional Sea-Tac airport shuttle available.

    Experience the basics of survival skills through the mysteries of primitive fire-making.

  • Snow Tracking and Winter Skills - Feb. 8-10, 2008
    Learn winter survival skills such as shelter construction, snow travel techniques and winter safety, and track wildlife in the beautiful Olympic Mountains!

  • Wildlife Trailing Weekend - April 11-13, 2008
    Travel to the beautiful eastern foothills of the Cascades and learn to trail animals in the field like deer, elk, and possibly black bear or cougar.

    Learn how wild plants, even in cities, can both feed you and take care of your health

  • Weekend Walkabout - May 16-18, 2008
    We will walk into the wilderness on a three-day adventure, learning to sustain ourselves from the natural world as we explore the survival skills of fire, shelter, wild foods, and navigation techniques.

Expeditions and Weeklong Courses

All weeklongs held 6:00 p.m. Sun. - 12:00 p.m. Sat. unless otherwise noted. Food and camping provided unless otherwise noted, Airport shuttle available. Workshops operate from a comfortable base-camp. Expeditions may require excellent physical condition.

    Walk into the wilderness with little more than the clothing on your back and experience nature in an ancient and meaningful way through this wilderness survival course.

    • Explore the wild backcountry of Idaho as we search for the tracks and sign of the elusive Gray wolf and other animals of this rich ecosystem.
    • Staff from Wolf Education Research Center will compliment our field activities with information on wolf biology, current status and conservation.
