Weeklong Adult Workshops and Expeditions

wolf track"This experience taught me new ways of working cooperatively in a team to bring to life the stories held in the tracks and sign... I am amazed at what we can learn together as we combine our knowledge, awareness and senses. What a joy – and learning was so playful and fun!” "
-Shari F., Expedition Participant

Adult Weeklongs 2007Wilderness Awareness School is excited to offer several weeklong workshops and expeditions for adults in 2007:

  • 6-day Survival Walkabout - June 24-30
Enter the wilderness with only a knife...experience nature in an ancient and meaningful way.
  • NatureSkills Weeklong -July 15-21
Discover the magic of our core curriculum: Bird language, tracking, survival skills, plants, awareness and more.
  • Summer Wolf Tracking Expedition in Idaho - July 29-Aug. 4
Explore the wild backcountry of Idaho as we search for the tracks and sign of the elusive wolf and other animals of this rich ecosystem. Staff from Wolf Education Research Center will compliment our field activities with information on wolf biology, current status and conservation!

Packed with adventure, discovery and focused learning, these courses can be experienced individually for those focusing on certain aspects of their training in the natural world, or taken in concert as a NatureSkills Weeklong Training Series for those seeking a more holistic and powerful year of experiences in many aspects of our curriculum.

NOTE: All 2007 weeklongs held 6:00 p.m. Sunday - 12:00 p.m. Saturday; Food and camping are provided, and free Airport Shuttle is also available. Workshops operate from a comfortable base-camp. Expeditions may require excellent physical condition.
